Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is a draft prepared for the One Stop Shop platform in Dubai/UAE. It is written to be compatible with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). The final version must be reviewed by a local legal adviser before publication.

1. Controller

One Stop Shop (hereinafter "we" / "One Stop Shop") is the Controller for personal data related to the operation of the portal, customer accounts, case management and document archives. UAE PDPL defines Controller/Processor roles and associated obligations.

2. Data We Collect

We collect personal data necessary to deliver services, build contracts, handle payments and document the case. UAE PDPL requires data minimisation and purpose limitation.

Account & contact data: Name, email, phone, language preference

Identity data: Passport/ID, Emirates ID (where relevant), signature metadata from e-signing

Address and proof of residence: Where the service requires it

Company/formation data: Activity, legal form, partners/shareholders, desired trade names etc.

Uploaded documents: Powers of attorney, attestations, contracts, attachments

Payment data: Payment status, transaction ID, receipts (card data handled by payment provider)

Usage data: Activity log in the portal, IP address, device info (for security and operations)

Marketing preferences: Consents and opt-outs

3. Purposes Of Processing

We process personal data for specific and clear purposes, and do not further process data incompatibly with these purposes (PDPL requirement).

Create and manage portal account

Receive requests and produce contract/document drafts

Coordinate with verified partners and send documents for signing

Process payments and document transactions

Fulfil legal requirements (e.g. documentation and archives for tax/finance)

5. Data Sharing (Recipients)

We only share data when necessary for delivery. Processor relationships are governed by agreement and instructions in accordance with PDPL.

Verified partners: Service providers delivering the ordered service

E-sign provider: For signing and audit trail

Payment provider: For payment and receipts

Cloud/operations providers: Hosting, logging, backup

6. Cross-Border Data Transfer

We may use providers that store or process data outside the UAE. Transfers outside the State follow PDPL rules for cross-border transfer.

PDPL allows transfer to countries with proper protection level and, if such level is not available, via contractual measures, explicit consent, or contractual necessity.

7. Security Measures

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

Encryption of stored data and encrypted transport (TLS)

Role-based access control (RBAC) and MFA for admin

Pseudonymisation where appropriate

Logging of all actions on sensitive objects

8. Data Breaches

If we become aware of a breach that may harm privacy/confidentiality/security, we assess notification to the Bureau/Office in accordance with PDPL, and document the nature, scope and measures taken.

9. Your Rights

UAE PDPL gives Data Subjects the following rights:

Access: Request what data we process, purposes, sharing, storage standards and breach measures

Data portability: Receive your data in a structured format (where technically possible)

Rectification and erasure: Request correction of errors and deletion in certain cases

Restriction/cessation: Restrict processing in disputes about accuracy or purpose - with the right to retain data for legal claims

Stop direct marketing: Stop processing for direct marketing, including profiling

Automated decisions: Object to automated decisions; we add human review on request

10. How To Exercise Your Rights

Send an email to info@connectpointdubai.com with subject "PDPL Request". We may request identity verification before releasing data.

11. Storage And Retention

We store data as long as necessary for the purpose, or to safeguard legal claims and legal obligations. PDPL requires that data is not kept after the purpose is fulfilled.

For financial/tax data, we retain for a minimum of 7 years after the end of the tax period, in accordance with UAE Corporate Tax record-keeping requirements.

12. Cookies And Tracking

We use necessary cookies for login and security. For analytics/marketing we use cookies based on consent. You can withdraw consent at any time. PDPL gives the right to stop direct marketing.

If you believe we process data in violation of PDPL, you may contact us first. PDPL also gives the right to complain to the Bureau/Office.
